Flower Mart

Yesterday, I got up at sunrise to accompany my friend Alice Tarkeshi over to the SF Flower Mart, the wholesale market where the city's florists, photographers and restaurauteurs go to buy their floralware.

By 7am, the place is buzzing: buyers and vendors haggling, workers hustling around a huge warehouse floor full of every imaginable flavor of flora.

Not knowing much of anything about flowers, all I could do was traipse around dumbly behind Alice (who knows, like, everything about flowers) and snap a few pictures that don't nearly do the place justice:
